A MOTHERS' TRAITS:
M - Manages an incredible amount of responsibility and does so incredibly well. They seem to always be doing more than their share but are somehow able to stay organized and keep it together.
O - Others always come first, and ultimately, they, the moms, always seem to come last, and somehow, they rarely seem to mind.
T - Time, they can always find some, to teach, train and nurture, to share tears and triumphs with, the ones they love, especially their children and grandchildren.
H - Helpful and Hopeful are two traits all good mothers have in common. They are ever-ready to help when and where needed and are ever hopeful for the happiness and success of their offspring.
E - Ever Faithful and willing to do what's best for their children at all times and in all circumstances. This sometimes requires "tough love", often not understood or appreciated by the child, but mothers are willing to do the hard, tough and even painful things for their beloved children, if it is the right and best thing to do for their growth, progress and welfare.
R - Reserves are seemingly in limitless supply for a mother. Reserves of love, devotion, faith, hope, selfless service, dedication, determination, willingness to sacrifice, encouragement, empathy and compassion.
S - Sentiment, all the best of them, seem to reside in a mother's heart. They are always the first ones to believe in you, to defend you, to befriend you, to correct you, to love you enough to tell you the truth, to forgive you, and to love you in spite of you.
To my own mom, and my wonderful wife, and all of the wonderful mom's out there, thanks for all you do day in and day out, largely without the thanks and gratitude you so richly deserve. Thanks for being the heart of our family, for being the glue that helps keep the family running, infused with care, concern, thoughtfulness and love. Thanks for all the time spent raising us, nurturing us and teaching us, for serving us tirelessly throughout our lives and unfailingly putting us first, providing us with warm meals, clean clothes, encouraging words and a loving home. Thanks for sharing with us all of life's joys and heartaches, all of its laughter and tears, and for making with us so many timeless family memories. Thanks for enduring and suffering for us and with us, for loving us even when we weren't very lovable. Thanks for your kind and forgiving heart, for looking past the times we may have hurt you by our selfish acts, or by our lashing out when you loved us enough to tell us what we needed to hear rather than what we wanted to hear. Thanks for being willing to try and guide us toward the right when we wanted to go wrong, and for patiently and with long suffering often taking our misdirected blame. Thanks for your words and acts of kindness, encouragement and wisdom. For always striving to help us to succeed, and then always being there at the times we fail, with understanding, unconditional love and support. Thanks for continually trying, and then trying again, for never giving up. Thanks moms, for your love! It means more than you know. It's not an understatement to say, we couldn't do it without you.
