With brand driven product sales on the one hand, the other side of the story meets an unpredicted change in the image of the princess. Kate Middleton has instantly become one of the most loved characters in the UK with modernising the conventional princess image with a down to earth and familiar likeable persona. Although much of her image has come from manifesting attributes originally given to Princess Diana, Kate Middleton has managed to win the countries hearts and asserted the idea that anyone truly can become a princess.

Even with the appearance of the modern day princess varying from the past, girls even today are highly motivated to come as close as possible to becoming a real life princess, which isn't always a bad thing. The idea of a princess demonstrates a respectful, honourable and dignifying character. A Princess is seen as someone that frequently helps others, through volunteering and donations, is a polite individual, with respect for those around her, but more importantly someone who is happy and has a positive outlook on life. If these are just some of the ideologies that are imprinted through expensive consumer driven profit centres, then maybe the clothes, accessories and toys are a small price to pay for a positive impact on your child.
