Fall Down 7 Times Stand Up 8

This was posted by a dear woman on my personal Facebook page today. She is a lovely woman with little wealth, much love and a beautiful family. She is the epitome of a loving housewife.

Honestly, being a housewife is a great and trying position. Just as a man must work and face challenges to bring home income. We face challenges and struggle to hold down the fort at home.

At times it is one step forward, ten steps back. It is no different for those who appear to have it easy.

For all, it is hard, persistent work. It is knowing the steps to get to your goal and continuing to do them even when all you see is disaster.

That daily repetitive activity WILL breed results IF you continue to work it. It is like the farmer who continues to plant among failing crops or the salesman who continues to call in a swarm of no's. That continued activity will breed results. It is about training yourself to do the tasks when your body and mind want to stop.

It is called self discipline. As children, parents discipline us and keep us from destroying ourselves. It is meant to be the case that a family will create that same desire as we age. That love of our children or husband will inspire us to do the tasks that our inner child would otherwise rebel against. What chores do you avoid? Chores that a parent would have made you do? Dishes? Simply cleaning a room? Discipline that inner child. Or your life will be much more painful than the task ever was. Learn to work so that you can truly play. Have your to do list each day and do it - until the routines become habit.

Train those spiritual muscles and watch as they bring results. The system will work.

The daily process of doing your 'chores' will bring about the change you desire. If you're not seeing results, you are skipping chores. DON'T. It will make you miserable.

The lack of self discipline is the cause of every ailment imaginable: health, poverty, sloth, an out of control tongue, missing birthdays... not having money for Christmas or food on the table, aging, headaches, guilt over purchases you didn't need and bills you didn't pay. Need I go on?

That to do list looks pretty simple when you think of how it will bless your life. The life you dream of is not expensive.

It is affordable by all. It simply requires a few simple chores and daily routines. It requires self discipline. If you aren't willing to pay that small price you will end up with a much greater debt... consequence.
